CRANE LAKE CHAPEL FELLOWSHIP HALL
The meeting was called to order by Chairman Rob Scott at 7:05PM
Chairman Rob Scott welcomed the meeting attendees and stated that the focus of the meeting would be the Community Assessment Report (CAR) of the Handberg Road area. The regular Board of Managers’ meeting would follow. Sara Heger of the U of M would begin the meeting and explain the CAR; Jim Orton of Orton Construction hired by the District to conduct the property assessments would follow. After Sara and Jim’s presentations there would be a question and answer period. S.E.H. Engineer Randy Jenniges was also in attendance to answer questions.
Chairman Scott reviewed the District history with those present.
Sara explained that all wastewater needs to be managed and treated properly. She explained that she would facilitate the community process for Handberg Road. She explained that a CAR would summarize the status of all current systems; determine the alternatives for each property and lastly provide recommendations. Sara reviewed the timeline of the project with the site evaluations being completed by July 1.
Jim Orton then spoke explaining that he would be doing the door to door assessments of each property. He explained that it was always helpful for the property owner to be there to provide any additional information. The work will begin when the ground has defrosted.
Some of the questions that were presented were:
The three foot depth of a system was questioned – State code for assessments will be followed. Will all tanks be pumped – only those that are deemed necessary. Will the CAR and the construction of the forcemain down Handberg Road be done at the same time – yes.
The meeting was adjourned at 7:45PM.
